Match Report

The matchday 3 against Lowlanders from Aldegrove started with surprises. The fact is that at the referee's starting whistle, 9 people entered the field as part of the guests, including the goalkeeper. The rest of the players did not have time to arrive at the start of the game. But our guys were not ready for this. Having an advantage of two (!!!) field players, our players spent the first 15 minutes of the game rolling the ball among themselves, not knowing what to do. The guests, having built a dense defensive line, calmly defended while waiting for replenishment of their squad. In addition, at the beginning of the game, one of our leaders A. Bhullar was knocked out after receiving a ball in the face. His position on the flank was taken by Fraser McKay.The guests finally replenished their roster and began to snap back. And in the middle of the first half they even took the lead in the match. Our team had several good chances to equalize the score, but overall they could not change the nature of the game. The visitors went into the break leading 1:0

Match day 3 brought us a loss of leadership

In the second half, we strengthened our team's attack. A.Bhullar appeared on the field again. After another 10 minutes, our team switched to playing three defenders with four attacking players. Our opponent constantly defended with the whole team trying to maintain the score. It seemed a little more and the bastion would be destroyed, but the ball did not want to cross the visiting goal line. Either the goal post got in the way of the ball, or the goalkeeper played great, or we were just unlucky. Finally, in the 73rd minute, the rules were violated against our Junior striker in the guests' penalty area. The referee awards a penalty. Abhay's shot is saved by the crossbar. A few minutes later, the goal post saves the guests after another Bhullar strike. The guests desperately defend by simply kicking the ball out of their own half of the field. 84 minutes into the game our guys are besieging the opponent’s penalty area and here comes the long-awaited goal. It was Jairo who literally pushed the ball into the opponent's goal. But the referee's whistle stops our rejoicing. He shows that there was an offside position. It's the last minute of the game. A long shot, the goalkeeper hits the ball to the side, Bhullar takes it and saves our team from the first defeat of the season. This draw, however, pushes our team from first to fourth position in the standings. On the one hand, our team demonstrated fighting spirit. On the other hand, if the guys want to achieve their goal for the season, such games cannot be given away
